Gnocchi Parisienne

Gnocchi Parisienne

Ingredients
Gnocchi:
  • 250ml (1 cup) milk
  • 60g (4 tbs) butter, chopped
  • 125g (1 cup) plain flour, sifted
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tbs vegetable oil for frying
Mornay Sauce:
  • 3 tbs butter
  • ¼ cup plain flour
  • ½ cup white wine
  • 1 ½ cups warm milk
  • ½ cup grated cheddar cheese
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • salt and pepper, to taste
Mushrooms:
  • 1 tbs butter
  • 1 tbs olive oil
  • 100g button mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 2 tsp finely chopped rosemary
  • salt and pepper, to taste
